Game freezes during champ select

The main issue is that when I get into champion select, the client will freeze, and the only way you can tell is because timers will go down and nothing will happen. It happens nearly every time, and is costing me LP and timeouts. I saw a suggestion to constantly change your summoner abilities, and it has helped a couple times, but sometimes they just never change and then I get Unknown Error, and it continues to freeze. I've tried the Adobe Air fix. I've tried reinstalling. I've tried running everything as administrator. I've tried implicitly allowing it through my firewall. Nothing works.

A side issue is that sometimes when accepting queues, it will freeze, and say it's waiting on someone, and the timer will finish, and i'll sit there in the waiting window for another minute and then i'll get another queue (that i don't see) and miss it, and be dropped from queue. This is insignificant in comparison to the main issue though.
