ekko abilities don't proc ice born gauntlet

Recently I have been playing Ekko in some games and I decided to try out ice born gauntlet. When I bought the item I realized that none of Ekkos abilities proc'ed Ice born gauntlets passive or the autos after casting the abilities. I find it strange that ice born gauntlet doesn't proc on Ekko so I thought It may be a bug.
