Illaoi's Test of Spirit not pulling spirit to champion

This has happened to me several times against a few champs. Talon and akali are the main ones i noticed it on.

When I try to pull their spirit it leaves the spirit where the champion was and brings the champion to me. I think this is happening when I E them and they dash to me at the same time. this happened several times in my last game against Talon. That would be the only way I could think to try to recreate it but it shouldn't be too hard to do since this happened almost every time i tried to grab him with test of spirit.

If you have a way to just look at past games it will be on the last game i played on Dec. 21 2015.
