HELP! League won't work. Problem with DirectX

Hello League of Legends community, I need help!

I log in to the league of legends client fine. However, once I finish champion select and load into a game, the screen goes black and I get an error. The error states "An unknown DirectX error has occurred and League of Legends cannot start. Please make sure your video card is using the latest video drivers from the manufacturer." My computer is a Lenovo Y50-Y70 Touch, with an Intel Core I7 - 4700HQ CPU @ 2.40 GHz, NVidia GeForce GTX 860M Video Card, and I'm running Windows 8.1 64-bit operating system. I have updated my video card drivers to the newest drivers several times today and i ran dxdiag.exe to make sure DirectX was running without a problem. I have also reinstalled league of legends. None of this has worked so far.

Also, I tried downgrading my graphics card drivers as well because the problem occurred after I updated my drivers, but that didn't work either.

Please help, I really want to play league but none of the solutions I've come across have worked.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Thank you

I'm having the same problem! Only that my just crashes and doesn't say anything about DirectX.

This has happened to me four times already and I've been Penalized for it. It's keeping me from joining games while I've been playing normal's for hours the same day. I shut my computer down. Turn on League. Go into ranked. And it just doesn't load.
