'A Critical Error Has occurred' - and now I've got 20 minute queue delays thanks to Leaverbuste
Hey kids - remember this post last year? Or the multiple others about the same exact problem that were posted with zero resolution? Well guess what! It's back!
Had the lovely Critical Error bug occur to me during a ranked game today - the result was the LoL screen freezing, unable to tab out, open up task manager etc - all the same symptoms - forcing me to hard reboot my entire system after about 3-4 minutes of trying to close it, switch it and so on. The result was a few minutes more of waiting and coming back to a game to discover that somehow my team had managed to feed the enemy Jinx 12 kills in my absence and was doing poorly.
But wait, it gets better. So I come back, play the damn game and actually turn the game from a losing one to a winning one with a few good teamfights and solid 5 man Vel'koz ults. As a result the team turns it around, does Baron, wins the game. Fairly quickly. So quickly that the game does NOT register that I have come back and been playing the whole damn time.
As a result, Leaverbuster. Now, there were instances about 7+ months back when my old computer was dying where I was crashing out of a few games and never able to get back. This has long since been fixed. So this is the first such instance of leaving (and even then I came back ASAP) in 7+ months, in a new season no less.
Nope. Still gotta give me those TWENTY MINUTE pre-queues.
So just saying Thank you Riot for penalising me with LP loss and 20 minute pre-queue timers for a client-side bug that has been reported on these forums multiple times. Oh, an penalising me for actually turning a losing game around fairly quickly. I would have been better off jerking off and going around in circles for ten minutes to make sure you registered that I had come back it seems.
