Anyone else got a group lag?

I was playing a ranked match, at first we were far behind but we sta- thats not the point, sorry. Anyway at one point I started getting this insane lag spike going up by the hundreds. I lag sometimes for no reason and it usually goes away in like 5 seconds so I was ignoring it until my support started spam pinging that she was lagging too; I pinged mine and then everyone did, and the enemy confirmed they got the lag spike too. It went up to like 15k for a good minute or so. After it stopped we went on playing normally. My team got an ace and baron but the game wasnt over yet because the enemy team had 3 infernal drakes, and then the second lag spike came; Everyones ping went up to 30k and no one could move. It ended up lasting the entirety of the game until our minions took their inhib, inhib towers, and then nexus. Was just wondering if anyone else ran into that problem, and if it would be possible to get compensation for what just happened?
