Still having odd lag and dc issues

So earlier today we had a lot of lag problems while chat was being bad in NA. I assumed it was because of the ddos attacks. However, just a few moments ago I played two games. The first I constantly dced about every 5 mins, and afterwards I noticed I was dcing from chat within the client as well. My opponent dced/afked for the entire game from lvl2, and the enemy team also all chatted lag issues. Is this still an issue with the ddos, or something else? And if its on Riot's end, have they announced anything concerning this?
