Iron 2 from placements?
Won 6 matches, lost 4 in placements.
We were placed into Iron 2. I did duo for all 10 games, and I ended up with 35 LP and my partner had 8

Sure, the factor you forgot to take into account I am assuming here, is that the season reset is not a HARDREST....it will place you with in the range of your last season.
While i have yet to finish my placements, i have 5 down and 5 to go, I have won 4 of the 5 games and sit in bronze 4 (hoping to end silver 4 or close to it.. I ended last season in silver 1 1 out of 3 games played to get to gold.
If you where silver your placements would have started in iron..... But if your dou was iron from the last season, then your LP gain from each win would not have been as much had you soloed q. as he was Iron before.
This is all from my assumptions of how I understand it to work
