I've downloaded the same update 4 times now

So the day before yesterday I opened league client and it said that I needed to download an update the size of 24.7MB. I downloaded this update. Later that night I took a break and closed my client, when I went to reopen it later on it forced me to download the same update again as if it had never happened. So I did it and everything was fine.

This morning I start my client, says it needs to update again, the size of 24.7MB so I wait and download it again, I open the client, join a que and enter a game. In champion select as soon as I locked in my champ the client froze so I closed it and reopened the client, to have the client tell me I needed to download another update... it's size was again, 24.7 MB. I downloaded it, the download screen went away and the client did not reopen by itself. So I clicked on the league of legends shortcut on my desktop to reopen the game once more, only to have the client tell me AGAIN that it needs to restart to apply an update, so it restarted and AGAIN started to download the same size 24.7MB update that I just downloaded twice in the last half hour and twice two days ago. I have a feeling I probably loaded into the game when i first did this this morning and the client froze only to get an ark strike on my account. I do not know for certain because I cannot get in to the online client. I really have no clue as to what's going on here. I'm currently staying at a best western hotel and the internet isn't the greatest sometimes it cuts out but I don't understand how that could possibly affect the download saving to my computer after it's done. I think it's really crappy that I'm gonna get an afk strike on my account and now probably have a low priority que to deal with once I log in again, that's if I'm not forced to download the dang 24.7MB update once more. I hope a rioter sees this and can help, has anyone else had this issue?
