patch 5.5 unable to launch

As soon as bard has been released i cannot update the game! working on windows 8 and every time i try to open the game the initial "League of legends" logo appears for a few seconds and then disappears and doesnt show up in task manager or even ask to deactivate the previous oppened window, please help, no salt, just miss the game

You're not missing much, I manage to update the game and start it, but it just freezes my computer as soon as the client starts.
