DJ Sona music extremely quiet

I don't have the best hearing so that's what I thought the issue was... but then when I was actually playing, the other spell effects and such drowned out the music almost entirely. I tried turning my in-game music to 100 and it was still incredibly difficult to hear. I don't know if this is a bug or intended but I'm starting to regret my purchase. The music was a huge part of the reason I bought the skin and I can barely hear it...

I tried checking in the options for a DJ Sona specific volume bar but there doesn't appear to be one...

Is there a problem with DJ Sona's music volume? I would've thought I could hear it more clearly with the music setting adjusted to 100.

Hey Crunkberri,

DJ Sona's music is intentionally not loud because we didn't want it to interfere with gameplay. It's meant to be similar to the ambient music that you normally hear on Summoner's Rift.

If the music was loud, it would take away from some of the other audio cues that you might hear, such as Varus charging his Q or Sion ulting.

I agree, the music is too quiet. I normally don't play with sound on because it bothers other people in the house. However, DJ sona doesn't bother anyone, not that anyone can hear it. I literally turned everything to like 10 and music to 100, maxed my comp's volume and that is still a bit quiet. Also using the excuse "we didn't want it to interfere with gameplay" is stupid. Not only can you turn off those options manually, but you can just turn off the sound altogether. Then I don't even think you can truly claim this hinders gameplay, there are visual cues for everything. Even looking at varus's q, sions/rek's ult; I could probably make the claim that hearing the abilities is a hindrance because it causes a subjective fear. We payed $25 for a skin for a single champion, let us at least be able to control the best selling aspect of the skin or at least make it audible.

lmfao I knew this skin would turn out to be a rip off

And this coming from someone who enjoyed Spirit Guard Udyr even though I'd never played him before

I had this in my first game as well, ethereal and concussive were really quiet, kinetic was OK.

Then the next game it was all fine so IDK

I want to confirm this on me and my brothers computer I can understand it being tuned so we can hear the game but it's whisper quiet the only way to hear it is to turn everything else off and turn music to max. It's not even close to the games default music or I would be ok.

  1. Turn the in game music up.
  2. Turn the other in game sounds down until it is at a level relative to the music you are happy with.
  3. Out of game increase the volume of League of Legends relative to the other audio sources your computer is handling until the game sounds are at their previous level.
  4. Enjoy your new, louder music.

Hello! I just want to start by saying I love the skin, and you guys did an awesome job making it! But like other posters have said, the music is a bit quiet. I totally understand not wanting to overwhelm the other sounds in game, but I do think the option of making it even just a bit louder would be nice. I mean, after all the work put into making the stellar music for the skin, wouldn't it be better to allow the theme of the skin to shine? Some people just blast music in the background or with their phones anyways.

It is somewhat possible to work around with adjusting the sound sliders, but that gets a tad tedious to change every time she's in game or not.

Again, fantastic work on the skin, Sona is my favorite champ, and I'm really excited she got this ultimate. Keep up the great work guys!

Can't you turn the music up in the volume settings? I was pretty sure that was a thing. I tweak those things often. From default, I increased music volume, decreased ping volume, decreased effect volume. Does that not work for Sona's beats?

Are you on PBE? If so, then it is an easy fix. If not, I had no idea that she was already out :).
