Malphite jungle monsters bug

According to my friend when he plays malphite jungle, getting hit by monsters such as blue and red buff, the damage doesn't come across straight away. There is like a 1 second delay between the animation of it hitting him and him taking damage. I'm not 100% sure if its due to ping or not but if you guys could look into it maybe load up a game and try it out? That would be great, Thank you ^_^
