audio delay with bluetooth headphones in mac client

Whenever I use bluetooth headphones with league they work fine for the first five minutes but then I get this audio delay where an action with sound in the game comes out later in my headphones. This delay increases the longer I use the headphones. I've tried this with other bluetooth headphones so its definitely the client's issue since if i close the client, the lag disappears.
