Draft Pick Time Ending Early

So every once in a while my draft pick timer ends early and says "You did not lock in your pick or ban. Your group was removed from matchmaking." At first, I thought it was just my internet being shitty some days, though once I received this on multiple occasions while in a group with friends who were equally as confused as I was I figured something was up.

The longest amount of 'time remaining' I've had has been five seconds, I don't always know who I want to play immediately and do try to pick a champ that fits well with our current team, so this causes an issue to people that are trying to create a good team comp. What's even more annoying is that this occurs in my ranked games too and has caused me on more than one occasion to lose my promos because I 'dodged'; which is frustrating to say the least.

If anyone has received any similar issues feel free to post them down below along with any recordings you may have had while this occurred to help out. Hopefully this sheds some light on a small issue that can cause a decently large discrepancy and I hope to see it fixed soon.
