Some sort of connection error?

I played two games of Twisted Treeline today. Both times, as soon as the game began, one person was said to have "left the game", and the other would just walk straight from one end of the map to the other until they were killed by something. They weren't there for sure, I was by myself both times with some sort of broken placeholders for the other champions while the bots just wreaked havoc. Does anyone know what my issue might be?
