HUD interface messes with my chat scale. So when i try to make the interface smaller the chat size changes with this as well. My chat scale is at 100 and its small as hell.... HOW DO YOU FIX THIS? RIOT PLZ FIX THIS ISSUE!!! its very annoying
SOLUTION
Hey guys I've found a temporary solution to this problem. I've had the same problem with my chat being too small after resizing the hud.
Basically what you need to do is manually change the font size in the config files.
C: Riot Games > League of Legends > Config
Open the "game.cfg" file with notepad and scroll down to the section that says "[HUD]"
The third to last item says "ChatScale=#" (whichever is your current setting for the game). This is the value of the font size for your LoL client chat bar. Now I'm running LoL at 1920x1080 and my Hud size is at 27. You can make that whatever you want in game, but set it BEFORE you change this chat value. To change your chat size, set it between 450-550 depending on what you like. This will put your chat at the same scale as your hud and make it much easier for you to type/read.
Save the notepad file by using File>Save
The next time you start a match your chat should be much larger and will be much more visible. Good luck! Hope this helps!
Yep, I had this problem, until I got the perfect hud (& chat) size, was really annoying to re-configure though :/

I'm experiencing the same problem. I talked with one of the Riot Games Player Support and he said,
"I talked to some of the technical team! Unfortunately it is now a part of HUD in the recent update. Right now this is a known feature in the game. In ORDER to scale up the chat, you will need to increase your HUD with your chat.
If you do not agree with this change I STRONGLY encourage you to post your feedback to the forums. If enough players have an issue with this, I'm sure the issue will gain some attention and it may be changed. We always pay close attention to our community! :) I know myself have been a little confused with this change as well.
