Hextech Chest and Key disappeared

So, I tried to open a chest remembering I had gotten enough key fragments. The key forged just fine, but when I tried to open a chest, it seemed to get caught up and nothing happened. So I clicked on my home tab to go back into the loot tab and try again, but both the chest and key are gone and I have nothing new added to my inventory. So, I guess, moral of the story: don't leave the hextech crafting page while it's doing its thing. Just wait for it to load or you might lose out on a chest AND a key.

The exact same thing happened to me. I also had another experience with the hextech key. I won a game yesterday and it said it gave me a key fragment, but when I looked, it wasn't there. I logged on the next day to see that I had received the key fragment, so hopefully, the contents of the hextech chest will appear soon. If not, I hope to receive compensation for the loss of the hextech key and chest. :D

Same thing just happened to me...I've sent a ticket to Riot support, hope they'll give it back

Have had the same issue multiple times. The problem is that it can't be helped... I try to open the chest and it freezes up so i have no choice but to tab out or re-log. I've lost at least 3 or 4 chest and keys due to this and it is by far the most angering thing.

I had a similar issue w/ a chest disappearing, not a loading issue like u said, but a hextech bug nonetheless :/

i had over 22 key fragments. and now they gone . i didtn even make them in to keys. so wtf where have they gone . do the time out after so many moths / days?
