No, he's actually not. He's never been underrated. Do you even know what that word means?
Yorick isn't played because he was actually nerfed into the ground intentionally. Riot even went as far as to remove Yorick from the free week rotation list. Yes, you read that correctly. Yorick can not be a free week champion. The only other champions that are not in the free week are Alistar and Tristana since they are free via youtube/facebook promotions.
Yorick was removed/nerfed simply due to how poorly designed of a kit he has. Requiring no effort to use and having almost no counterplay Yorick was absolute cancer when he was considered viable. Even Riot acknowledged this. Bully your opponent out of lane with unclickable ghouls that are going to outdamage you while healing Yorick. Are you having fun yet?
Anyone who played the game before Yorick's big nerfs will tell you what a complete piece of shit this champion is. He is not underrated.

IDK about you but I never have any problems playing against Yorick, it's one of my favorite matchups, the ghouls are no problem to click at all, and it's simply walk back for a second and then A click them.
