Fiora lunge (q) hits Yi in his Alpha Strike (q)

The enemy Master Yi ulted, red smited me, then fought me under turret. I, as Fiora, activated my ult on him immediately then used my e. He then Alpha Striked right before I used my q, and while he was still not even on the screen, I killed him. I know my q hit him because the animation of the attack went off and the q was set on a lower cd right when he died.
