Xin zhao bug

Just played a normals game today and I played Xin zhao. I found out that the knock up on his Q occurs every 2nd attack instead of his usual 3rd attack. That's not meant to happen right? I tested multiple times during the game hoping it would change back to every 3rd attack but it did not go back.
