Loot system failure?

I bought 5 keys and chests then proceeded to open them. I was in a normals queue and upon opening my last chest the queue popped and the chest froze even though someone didn't accept. so I couldn't do anything except restart the client. Upon doing so my final chest and key are gone, with no loot rewarded for it, and I also discovered that I can no longer use my loot. I tried to click the other shards I got from the other 4 boxes and nothing happens. I can no longer utilize my loot inventory since that instance. Is there anything I can do?

*Note: I have tried restarting the client, switching from home and loot as well as playing a match and hoping that it resolves itself.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?
