Curse of the lol badge

Hello my fellow league mate. Im having a problem starting up league. When i click the icon the badge will appear and stay on my desktop or over my current tabs if i havent clicked anything and refuses to go to the client so i may launch league. The first time this happened i figured i would reinstall league and hope wouldnt deal with this again. Now it strikes again and i would reinstall it but im currently dorming at a college with HORRENDOUS wifi and it would probably take me 12 hours of trying to download it(ive tried the second time this happened and took aprox. 12 hours...) I would greatly appreciate any help with this. Thank you in advance.
