when playing against him, he is able to grab people through minions even if you are out of the range. Its a little frustrating thinking that when you are hiding behind minions he wont be able to grab you but on several games against him and also talking to some of my friends, they have also experienced being grabbed by blitzcrank through minions.

Or he could simply be grabbing through a gap in the minion wave?

but there have been times where im directly behind a few of them and he grabs me
