client bug as of patch 8.17, 8/29/2018

first turned on the launcher and says "cant login because you may be offline" of course im not, my connections are all ok, so after many closing and reopening of league, it finally lets me login. After logging in, the problems continue with the social box being completely blank and the play button, not functional. If u hover over the button, it tells u to relogin. THIS IS SO ANNOYING AND ONLY AFTER TONS OF TRIES TO RELOGGIN, U CAN FINALLY PLAY. this bug occurs everytime i try to play league, and it happened after the nunu &willump patch. PLZ FIX RIOT BECAUSE I THINK A LOT OF US R SUFFERING BECAUSE OF IT.

It looks like my problem, but bit different from mine. But I can say that the timing of something wrong happen after Nunu patch.

Many times I had dis connect in a PvP games. Just few minutes past since game has started.

I got this too and have found a few others with the same problem. I've managed to get into a few games but still can't make a lobby most of the time.

Same... and I mean the exact same issue. Even after Client Repair and Hextech Repair tool are run.

Yeah this began occurring for me on 8/29 after the nunu patch. Continuing into today. Preemptive - yes I've looked into your steps Riney. They do not resolve this problem. This is a client issue introduced by the update.

Yeah I have this issue too, and I'm on 350mbps connection wired, everything was fine till the patch hit, now I have to restart league multiple times for it to lemme play.

Every time I play, I need to open and close my client several times just to start or join a lobby. The client will reinstall itself and it jumps between updates. It takes a very long time to start a game almost every time. Quite annoying.

This error is due to your network not establishing a stable connection with the client servers.

🌐Perform the steps listed in this article🌐 particularly steps 2, 3, 4 & 9 for Windows / 2, 3 & 4 for Mac.

I don't think dealing with the problem is the solution. after reloggin, the social box may be blank, and the play button may be unavailable, but if u wait a few seconds, they all come back online. In fact, if u leave the launcher on before login, the offline warning goes away. Waiting is the best solution for this problem.

Just want to throw out there, several people in my discord are having this problem as well. Unless we all coincidentally had internet problems since 8.17 only impacting the LoL client it probably is on Riot's end. Additionally, if you stay with your play button grayed out and wait 15-30 seconds it lets you play. Just don't log out quick and this seems to work for me.

I have also done steps 1-xxx with the tool and calling my internet provider too
