Voice chat not working on MacOs High Sierra

So ever since the new Mac os has launched league chat hasn't been working for me and a quick google search later shows me I'm not the only one with that problem. I can hear my friends talking but they can't hear me, yes i have checked all the settings and they are just fine. I do understand that Mac users aren't a big part of the community but it is annoying that league has a Mac client but that's not up to date... Playing with friends is a pretty big part for me and not being able to talk without using a third party app sucks. Would be great if you would patch that up for us.
