Client Crashing

So I was just here in my champ select screen for my 10th promo game of ranked. My client crashed (not due to any issues with my pc) and when I get back on, I have a 30 min queue time before I am put into the actual queue. I am not sure why this has happened but it is of no fault of my own. How can the situation be rectified for people whose clients crash once in like.... 2 years or more? I do not think that it is fair that there is a ban time as if I actually dodged champ select while it was the client, itself, that crashed. Any insight on this? Anyone else have the same problem? It happened at 8:26pm about. It is extremely frustrating because it seemed we were going to have a good set up as well. Thanks and again, any advice or like issues would be appreciated.
