Client couldn't start my game.

So I've been playing ranked all day and every game has been starting normally. This time, my game didn't load and I wasn't taken to the loading screen either. I waited for the second screen (loading screen) to start and it never did, so I quit league and tried to reconnect but the "Reconnect" button never showed. I quit and logged back in one more time but the game had been remade and I lost LP for it.

This only happened to me once, but I figure it's something to point out.

Not sure if it WAS the client, but all other games I've had loaded perfectly with no wifi issues etc., so I'm just going to say it was the client.

Happened to me too. Even deactivating Avast didnt help this time!

I needed to restart my WHOLE PC!

Its so frustrating. I need to go to work in 30 minutes and i just wanted a cool game. Now i am fucking frustrated again. This hapeened to me yesterday too.

I actually lost 50 LP in Dia in the last days because of all these shit bugs!

Same thing happened to me 10 minutes ago.

Fucking game is full of bugs and instead of fixing them they keep making new fucking skins.

Just happened to me as well. Played a game of ARAM (by mistake, because I wanted TFT), and queued up for TFT...a match was found, but the game window never showed. Can't reconnect either, because the client tells me the "Game is still in progress."

Tried restarting the client, and it changed nothing.

Okay, I may have find the issue: The game .exe (seemingly only sometimes) doesn't fully close itself when a match is finished. If you open Task Manager and scroll down to Background Processes (won't show under running applications), you'll likely find the League game window - sitting at 30 % CPU while doing nothing.

Exit the client, close that .exe and start the client again. Then the reconnect button should appear, at least it just did for me.

But this game of Tiltover's Finest Tactics is ruined, making it even more tilting than usual.

EDIT: This is with the Windows 10 Task Manager. And depending on your hardware, it may take a minute before the .exe is actually closed. Something you should be able to track by looking at the CPU/RAM usage.

Also having this issue. Champ select goes fine but the game window never opens up. Why is this not getting any attention?

Okay, okay, I'm just trying to find alternative solutions here, instead of accepting something as "broken" (though this game's spaghetti coding is proven beyond any measure of doubt) and let that be the end of it.

And like I said, it may take minutes before a frozen application is truly closed. You should be able to track this with Task Manager through the RAM and/or CPU usage. Though in the case of Windows 7, a restart may indeed be required.
