Chat opacity resetting

I'm sure this doesn't bug everyone as much as it does me, but every game, the chat's opacity gets reset so that it is somewhat dark. I like having it clear so it doesn't show a box on the background, but it resets every game which gets kind of annoying. It has been this way for months. I'd love for this to get resolved.
