HELP, Key bindings do not work at start of game.

My qwer does not respond at the start of the game. I've been having this problem where when i enter a game, i level up my q and buy items and walk to lane. When i try and use abilities nothing happens. No abilities go off, I was Karma when this happened in my ranked game. i can talk to my teammates, and use qwer in my chat so there should not be a problem with my keyboard. I can go into my key bindings but can not change qwer. After the third time reconnected the problem was fixed but now we are 8 minutes into the game and I was lvl 1 going up against a lvl 5. It irritates me that this has happened numerous times (heimer,Jhin,yasuo,jinx) and restarting the client should not be the only way to fix the issue. I hope someone can give me some advice on how I go about fixing the problem.
