Game stuck at loading screen while game has already started

I was playing some ARAM today, and in one of my games, I was stuck on the load up screen. I thought, "okay, I'll just wait it out", and then after 15 or so minutes, the final game stat page pops up, says that the game has already finished, and marks me as a leaver! I hope I don't get banned if something like this happens again.
