Critical Error

I went into 2 different ranked games with my friend and both times he got a critical error on game load and we ended up remaking so he lost around 40lp, he went to task manager closed everything, had nothing else open except discord. He re opened the league client, clicked reconnect, and it instantly gave him a critical error so he couldn't reconnect. Anybody know a fix for this? Also, I'm not 100% sure if this should go under the report a bug board, please tell me if it shouldn't and if I can I'll move it to the proper board.
