Unable to play with work friend due to client bug. Cannot access cog in corner to repair or press ok. Unable to redeem any champ regardless of where he clicks. Not a good first impression of the game for him.

is there an invisible button you can click somewhere in the middle of the portrait?

there should be two (one to view detailed info about champ, one to select it -- followed by clicking OK at the bottom to accept).

I just had the same issue i had to restart league a few times and it worked, i think it was something to do with the home screen not loading correctly.
