No friends list. Player names And champion select chat.

I've been unable to play with firends for the last 3 weeks , the porblem started with player names being shown their id number for example E295481-4882 so i had no idea who i was talking with before the laning phase. As of the last few days i have no friends list loading and on top of that i can't type in champ select. Please look on it this is getting unplayable. [sg-ahri-3]

This s the exact same for me. Getting pretty annoyed now after the friend list disappears.

go to the game's directory and delete " Riot Client "

Try this: Method A ( Worked for me ):

  1. Go to LoL's install folder ( should be Riot Games, inside there are bunch of folders like Config, Cookies, DATA etc. if not go to method B.)
  2. Create 2 new folders. Name one "League of Legends" and the other "Riot Client".
  3. Now move the whole game to the "League of Legends" folder.
  1. Open the "League of Legends" folder and launch the game through the "LeagueClient.exe" file.
  2. Login in and then go to settings ( upper right corner > gear icon ) > General > sroll down and hit "Initiate Full Repair".
  3. That's it. Your launcher should update and your friends tab should work.

Method B ( worked for some1 else ):

  1. If u already have the "League of Legends" and "Riot Client" folders inside the Riot Games folder, delete the "Riot Client" folder.
  2. Open the "League of Legends" folder and launch the game through the "LeagueClient.exe" file. ( Should promp an error but it should be fine ).
  3. Login in and then go to settings ( upper right corner > gear icon ) > General > sroll down and hit "Initiate Full Repair".
