TEEMO CANT HEAL BY ATTACKING CHAMPION BY SHROOMS WITH Hextech Gunblade

Hextech Gunblade: UNIQUE Passive: Heals for 15% of all damage dealt (reduced to 5% for AoE damage).

I found that teemo cant enjoy this passive when his shroom attacks the enemy champions. Is it only me or everyone else experience the same?
