Extra large HUD font on 4k display

I've been playing league for years on a 2012 Macbook Pro. I faced all kinds of technical problems throughout the years, and unfortunately my Macbook totally died the other day. Went out and bought a 4k display Windows 10 laptop and once i get in game, all of the text in the HUD is extremely large and impossible to read. I've already read through a bunch of forums discussing the same thing and changing my display so that everything but league is extremely tiny is just ridiculous. I really don't understand how there is no other way to fix this. Someone please help.

I just posted a very similar thread in the gameplay and balance section, hopefully it gets a bit more attention there. I stopped playing close to three months ago because of this issue and riot has barely acknowledged it.

i have a 4k displayed laptop too. a way how i fixed this is to go and set your display into for example 1920x1080 and with the smallest (100%) item size. text's are normal then and in-game scaling problems are fixed like minimap is normal sized and not so small that it's unable to see what happens in there lol.. also kiting improves a lot since textures aren't extremely small because of uhd resolution..
