[GAMEPLAY] Zac e bug

So I'm tying to play zac for the first time and i cant get his e to work right i have tried to normal cast and hold, normal cast and quick release, smart cast and hold and smart cast and quick release. Every time I use it it only jumps a little forward and the only time i can get it to work is to click on the icon on the bottom bar but it always jumps me to it based on it jumping to the curser. plz help
