I was trying to play a couple games today and after I downloaded the new patch the game started to mess up. I would get to the loading screen but my client would not let me load in and was stuck on 0%. It proceeded to make me restart my PC five times and lose a total of 51 LP until I fixed the problem. Is there any way I could get this back? Thanks :)
I agree with @UncowRival. You are probably not getting anything back. But you can take his advice, in my opinion, and try to fix the issue and test it with bots and other "non-ranked" queues.
For example, before I get into any kind of game type in a day, I always go into practice tool: this way I confirm I can actually get into the game (come on, we all know the client and game are full of surprises more than a Christmas tree), test out my usual settings, keybindings etc. and check the ms and fps.
Hope I managed to at least give a little piece of practical advice, since I really don't think there's any way you can get your LP back, and also I'm not an IT guy, so I don't think I can help with the bug itself.

Don't think they'll give you back LP. Especially if your team decided to play without you and not remake. Now, here's another thing. After the first like 2, 3 times max, everything else is more or less on you. It's obvious that you have some sort of issue, but you still proceeded to play ranked. If something like this happens, I don't risk LP and I got to bots or a custom. Something that's a lot less drastic if the issue happens again. It's like if your chips got stuck in the vending machine and you punch the glass, hurting your hand. It's on you when you punch it 4 more times and end up with a broken hand and no chips, not the owner of the vending machine.
Could let me know the following types of chips your machine is equipped with?
