"Our Yordles got bored waiting for you" after forced update of account

I can not play League because their website will not let me update my account. I log on to my account, it says "hey you need to change your account to a riot account" and has it hovered over the client so i cant play. But when i go to change my account i log in, then it sends me an email with a verification code, then it says "Our Yordles got bored waiting for you" you've been signed out, please sign back in to continue.
