Something is wrong with the game

My friend's game has been receiving a lot of problems recently. They couldn't see auto attacks go off, couldn't see abilities being cast, when minions die, they stand still with no health, everyone is level one, and a few minor problems. They think it's a problem with their laptop but isn't sure. Does anyone know?
