I suffered a power outage during champion select. The game started anyways and I got a full Leave.
I'm a bit at a loss. I was really annoyed when my power cut out during champion select because I'm thinking to myself > "dang it, this is a RANKED game. I'm going to lose a few LP and that sucks because I'm almost plat and any setback is a big deal if I want to hit plat before the season ends"
But, I told myself "it could have been worse, at least the game didn't start yet!". Because it hadn't. I was the 2nd pick on my team and I had only just locked my selection. More than half of the players had yet to lock and my PC just suffered a HARD shut off when the power went out.
So more than anything I'm just baffled that for at least 2-3 minutes I had no open client and no turned on computer and the League of Legend client was completely unable to recognize that I was no longer there?
That seems like that cannot be working as intended if it can't detect a missing play for 3 whole minutes.
And then I have to log on to the shame of a messaging tell me that it's "wrong to leave games" and it's "Unfair to my teammates" and I need to "sign here to acknowledge I'll never do something like that again".
Me. A player who NEVER LEAVES games no matter WHAT.
It was really dumb.
