Nunu's W makes him visible?

So I just played a game against a Nunu, having the Demolisher Nunu & Willump skin, and I think it's kinda bugged. Every time he started making his Biggest Snowball Ever (W) he's be visible on the map for like a solid 2 seconds. Not sure why did that happen. Any thoughts?

This happened with me as well, Im not sure if its a bug or just apart of his ability, but when other champs use abilities similar to it they dont light up on the map, so its most likely the former
