Unable to spectate anyone

Hello I'm having problem spectating my friends... I tought that you didn't add that option to the new client yet, but now I just saw your updates for spectator in the last patch so I'm guessing that other people can use spectator mode. Another thing that bothers me is that some of my friends also can not use the spectator mode... I would really like to know if anyone know any kind of solution for this problem of mine since I used to spectate people alot but now I'm unable to do so.
