Gameplay: enemy was assisted by unknown damage source

Of course I thought rationally and I came to the conclusion that they were modding and Scruffycrimedog was in cahoots with Rynn Zytrix to ruin my game. It's like a few patches ago when revive was doing 3% damage haha. what killed me?
