Bought Tiamat on Twisted Fate

I was playing an ARAM last week as Twisted Fate. I bought boots, Pickaxe, and pots as starting items. On my first death, I noticed Tiamat was available and I was able to purchase it. I didn't actually use it; I hit undo and bought other items, so I don't know how it actually functions if you try to use it.
