Pre-game chat missing

I don't have any screenshots, but it seems like there's chat missing in the pre-game lobby. I know an update was recently made, but it seems like rather than chat being seen in order, there is just a lack of text that should be there. I started off assuming that people just weren't reading chat (like always), and recently experienced chat just not being there. I called top as the first chat in the log, then discussed who i was going top as. When it came my turn to pick, i got flamed for picking a top laner because someone else apparently called it (and was picking along-side me). I scrolled through my log multiple times, and that person had never spoken at all on my screen, but had for others. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?
