I was playing as Blitzcrank with a Kalista as my adc. Every single time when she would ult, I would click, the skill-shot indicator would flicker, and then disappear, leaving me unable to do anything until the timer ran out for the ult. This happened every single time she ulted me.
I just had this same issue as zyra. The kalista didnt load at the load screen, she came in like 5 minutes late. Everytime she tried to use the spear on me it would make the noise and then nothing would happen. Eventually somehow my computer thought i was her oathsworn ( i didnt catch exactly what happened to make it work) but i guess i wasnt really, because the W passive never procced when I hit things. THen i had the same issue you had when she ulted me, i could click around and i would get sucked in but i couldnt click to get out.

I had a very different issue. I was playing blitzcrank against abother blitzcrank with kalista for his adc. The blitz and I pulled at the exact same time, and in mid switch the Kalista ulted. Instead of her Blitzcrank going in the ult, my screen turned blue as if for Kalista ult and I couldn't move. An odd bug, not really game changing but still a bug
