You are supposed to get Hextech boxes if someone on your team gets a S rank, but now twice in a row I haven't gotten my box when someone on my team has gotten a S rank and I still have one to earn and I played champs that haven't earned a box yet...... This needs to be fixed and addressed.

Duckgirl32 votesI have 7 full keys and a couple key fragments. I have four boxes available and haven't got them in months because riot is stupid. No offense! This part of league actually makes me want to play overwatch more because they have loot boxes and you get them everytime you level up. Not only with one champ every season!! I don't even know what champs I haven't gotten boxes for with this new client. The alpha client worked better than this beta. I've already ran into bugs that result in me having to restart league or it crashes. In the alpha it never happened and I don't like the store. ANYWAYS I feel there are many times I should've received a box but haven't. I don't know how many i've opened but it isn't a lot for how many S's i've gotten.

Coulda sworn I read somewhere that you had a chance to get a box when you win as long as you had boxes remaining.
You queue w/ someone and he gets an S, AND you didn't get a box in this season with this champion AND if you have remaining boxes to earn.
This basically tells me to stop playing with my friends if I don't have any more boxes to earn.
I really don't like the way they implemented Hextech. It's bad enough you can only earn so many boxes every few days, but to make it so you can only earn one box per champion? No, I don't actually want free things if I have to carefully monitor my champion pool.

You can play with friends, and if they (or you) gets an S, but you don't have boxes to earn, you will be able to earn it later.

rogama251 votesI only got keys on normal games, including Draft and Blind pick. Riot said that you will be able to get keys on all matchmaked queues, but in ARAM it seems not to work as well as in normals :/

Zombiemaster1 votesYou can only earn one chest per champion per season. If you have already earned a chest while playing as Ashe, then you will not be able to earn another chest while playing as her until next season.
Also, check to see if you have chests available if you haven't already.

I found around 25 key fragments but never a chest. Is there are reason for this? I feel like I'm being played into buying chests or something. Can someone shed some light on this?

Zombiemaster3 votesI noticed that you are playing mostly just one champion. You can only get one chest per champion per season. Once you earn a chest with a champion, you will no longer be able to earn a chest with that champion until the next season, and although Season 6 has ended, the chest reset has not happened yet.
If you want to earn multiple chests, then you will need to widen your champion pool.

do you have a chest available? was your team in a pre-made with you? is your honor locked for whatever reason?
if all those check out then this is in fact a bug that needs to be looked at.

There are a few reasons you might not earn a chest:
If you're playing a champion you don't own, you can't earn a chest.
If you do earn an S rank on a champion you don't own, allies in your premade group may still earn a chest through your achievement.
You may have already earned a chest with the champion you're playing.
You can see which champions you've earned chests with by hovering over their portraits in the Champions tab of your profile. When you earn a chest through a premade ally's S rank, the chest counts as though you earned it on the champion you played in that game.
You may have reached the chest limit for the week.
Your profile has four chest slots, and once you've filled them up you must wait until another chest becomes available. One chest slot opens up per week; you can see how many more days you'll have to wait in your profile.
You can't earn a chest in a game if you leave that game.
##You may have been punished by a behavior system recently, meaning you won't be able to earn rewards from Hextech Crafting.
