His first cast of "R" goes directly on him.

I saw this happening a lot in ARAMs and I thought it was just people who were really bad with the champion. I also thought it might have been a script that people were running that was broken lol. Glad to know it's a bug, I was starting to lose faith in the league community.
Yeah this happened to me last time i played him. it was just weird tbh
i play xerath at least once a day and notice this semi-regularly over the last cpl weeks. its more then weird for him to lose 1/3 of his not so hard to dodge ulti damage when trying to get that last hit as they run away :(
Xerath is my main mid lol I can't use him because people think I'm a noob when I use Ult!! D:
Well shit. I thought it was just me. Tried breaking him out in ranked for the first time ever (did pretty well) but I kept ulting myself for the first cast. My team wouldn't let me live it down....
There are few threads about this already, the problem is that you're ulting too quickly, Xerath has a range windup, albeit a short one, much like his Q but MUCH faster.
If you're just mashing R you're not giving it enough time to wind up. It's not a bug, it's a FEATURE
It's a known bug. While it's being fixed, the workaround is to not spam it quite so fast; the bug happens when you use the first cast too quickly after the channel.
