League won't show Accept/decline box and sometimes doesn't let me log in!

For a few months league won't let me log on it say Logging on and it won't let me log on. The music cuts of and I have to restart. When I do log on all the time it says I have a connection error. So I have to do the whole process again! Then once I finally start a queue it works and I get to get in a game, but if I want to play with my friends it doesn't show the Accept/decline box. I can't play with them so we don't play with each other anymore and it sucks so if someone can please help! (By the way I play on a mac laptop).
