So today I played a game of Ascension and we won. We had Katarina in our team and she got an S rank. After that I got the message "you must own the champion in order to earn the mastery chest". But I own Katarina already. Why didn't they give me a chest.

You have to own the champion that you're playing.
I earn Quinn and played several time with a S- or even S+ and didn't get the chest. I have 4 chest available.Don't know where I am wrong.Can somebody explain me?
Also, you would have had to be in a premade with that katarina in order to get a chest from her S, even if you owned the champ you were playing. It doesn't matter if someone you were matchmade with gets an S, you don't get anything for that.
Came here to say I got the same message in an aram map. You don't even earn chests in aram- just keys x.x
